Congratulations to the team of Paul Matheson, Faith Leclair, Doug Waugh and Marilyn Waugh for winning the 
main curling event at the 2007 Summer Spud.  Also, congratulations to the foursome of Charlie Wilkinson, 
Val MacLean, Roger Beazley and Mike Devine for shooting the low score in the Summer Spud golf tournament.


























The kitchen at the curling club will be open for breakfast from 8:30 to
10:30am during the spiel.  Breakfast sandwiches, yogurt, fresh fruit,
coffee, tea and juices will be available.






















The 19th Annual Summer Spud Mixed Bonspiel involves four days of summer "fun" curling, a lobster extravaganza, a companion 18-hole golf tournament, and many other off-ice activities, including: 























- Post golf Pool Party Thursday afternoon

- Barbeque Reception and Golf Awards, Thursday evening

- Entertainment, Friday and Saturday evenings

- Mussel Bake, Sunday

The bonspiel will consist of 56 teams with an approximate 50/50 split between off-Island and local teams.  All teams are guaranteed at least three games, with prizes awarded to the winner and runner-up in the championship and other divisions.  The golf tournament is scheduled for Thursday, August 7th.  Curling will begin on Friday, August 8th at the Crapaud Curling Club and finish Sunday August 10th.  Organizers would like to extend a welcome to anyone wishing to drop into the club and watch the curling action.
